Meet the Tee Drainage Team

Jamie Ross

Certifying Drainlayer

Jamie joined Tee Drainage in 1997, since then he has worked along side is father Graham, developing his set of skills through an apprenticeship and becoming a Certifying Drainlayer. He has learnt the value of hard work, honesty and integrity from working alongside his father and is taking more of a leadership role in the business, moving the family business into the future. Jamie looks forward to meeting new clients and developing a relationship with them by offering our expertise and advice where possible.

He regularly keeps him self up to date with the latest practices of Drainage and Work Place Safety, to ensure all workmanship is of the highest standard, which includes being a member of the Plumbing Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board. When he is not on the job site, Jamie will be found in the boat... on one end of a fishing rod, or carving down Mt Ruapehu on his snowboard.

Nicola Ross

Nicola completed the Bachelor of Media Arts degree at WINTEC in 2003 and has worked at a Hamilton based sign writing company since then, becoming Production Manager for a team of 6.

She is Jamie's right-hand-lady for any thing computer based within Tee Drainage... but he wont let her on the job site in her pink tool belt.

When she's not working on the next marketing idea, or organising accounts, Nicola is trying to catch a bigger fish than her husband Jamie.

Graham Ross

Certifying Drainlayer

I took over Muir Drainage in 1984 and renamed it Tee Drainage. Since then I have been running and working in the business. In 1997 I was joined by my son Jamie who came straight from school to work alongside me and did his apprenticeship, becoming a Certified Drain layer.

Both Jamie and myself undertake Professional development courses to keep up to date with current products, practices and Health & Safety requirements as part of our registration.

I enjoy fishing, rugby and spending time at our beach house, along with working on doing up an old Anglia. With Jamie taking on increased responsibility in the business, I will be taking a more backseat role in the hope of getting away in our motorhome and doing a bit of travelling and spending more time at the beach and time with our family and grandchildren.

Phillippa Ross

I started in the business when Graham and I purchased it in 1984. I had 3 young children and worked in the office full-time around the children, doing accounts, payroll and general administration.

Graham and I have always worked as a team and this has worked out well for us and I think it gives clients a sense of family when dealing with us.

I am an avid netball fan and follow the Magic netball team and the Silver Ferns having travelled to the World Champs in Singapore and on many trips to Australia. I also love tramping and getting to the beach house as often as possible along with spending time with my family and grandchildren.

With Jamie now taking an increased role in the business and eventually taking over the running of it, both Graham and I can  take a bit of time for ourselves after nearly 30 years in the business and confident in the knowledge that Jamie and his wife Nicola will carry on with the same work ethic and values that we have been known for and we wish them well for the future.
